Jonathon T. Eberst founded The Eberst Law Firm, P.A. on September 24, 2009 — the day after his Florida Bar admission — on a conviction that Florida's insurance landscape rewards firms willing to actually try cases. From the firm's three offices on Florida's east coast, Jonathon has built a 14-attorney roster designed to take a personal injury claim from intake all the way to verdict without handing it off. Coming from a blue-collar Jensen Beach family where no one had attended college before his brother, Jonathon worked as an electrician, boat captain, and hotel manager before his brother called at age 21 suggesting they both become lawyers. That split structure lets the firm cover the full range of Florida personal injury work while maintaining Jonathon's core philosophy: "We prepare every case as if it's going to trial, whether it ends up settling or not."

What Inspired Jonathon?

Jonathon never dreamed of becoming a lawyer growing up in a blue-collar Jensen Beach family where college wasn't part of the conversation. At 21, working as an electrician, boat captain, and hotel front office manager, he got a call from his brother transferring from Miami-Dade Community College to the University of Florida. "Why don't you move to Gainesville with me and we'll go to school and be lawyers?" his brother asked. Jonathon's response was simple: "Sure, why not? Let's try something new." That leap of faith launched a journey that took him from community college to the University of Florida to Barry Law School, where he discovered his passion for trial advocacy. His philosophy became the advice he gives everyone considering a major life change: "If you think about doing something, give it a shot. You can always change your mind later. You only have one go at this life thing."

Mission & Vision

The Eberst Law Firm exists to help those in need when they need help the most. Jonathon built the practice around one core belief: "We help people when they need help the most. Unless you're in this industry, unless you're a personal injury attorney, you have no idea what step to take first when you're in a car accident." The firm operates on strict contingency fees so clients never pay unless they win, and maintains both pre-litigation and trial teams in-house so cases are never referred out. Jonathon's mission stems directly from his upbringing: "Our parents always taught us to stand up for the little guy, to help those that are being bullied, that nobody is better than anyone else.
